I started Dress Culture in 2022, but the story began long before that.
When I was a senior in high school, the world shut down. COVID canceled everything — my prom, my graduation, the milestone moments I had dreamed about since I was a little girl. I remember the feeling so clearly… the disappointment, the loss, the sense that something magical had been taken away forever. And I made myself a promise back then: If I could ever help it, no one else would ever feel that way.
So I did it!
I pulled together gowns, worked late into the night, used my love for fashion and photography to create a space where everyone could feel beautiful, seen, and celebrated. No prom — changed everything for me.
That moment is how Dress Culture was born.
What started as a tiny dream and a handful of formal gowns grew faster than I could have imagined. Today, Dress Culture is a full-scale boutique with a storefront in Bloomington, Illinois, and an amazing online community that continues to blow me away. From prom gowns to everyday fashion, from cozy sweaters to holiday collections — we’ve built something truly beautiful together.
To everyone who has supported me — whether you’ve bought a dress, followed along online, or just cheered us on — thank you. Truly. Your support means more than you will ever know. You’re helping me live out my dream:
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for believing in Dress Culture.
And most of all… thank you for helping me make magic. 💗
